About

Peter Jennings has been a photographer for over 30 years, capturing images in varied environments including theater stages, smoke-filled DIY music spaces, chaotic city streets, and defunct factories. Originally from the Hudson River Valley region of New York, Jennings lives and primarily works in Ohio. His work has been exhibited across the United States and belongs to several public and private collections.

His passion for creativity was inspired by his mother, a painter and art history major, and father, also a photographer. Their influence, numerous books, and early exposure to the art world via myriad visits to museums inspired him to start his photographic journey with a cheap plastic rangefinder and a roll of 35mm film. After taking several photography courses in high school, he refined his craft in college, and worked as a theater photographer.

Outside of his photographic pursuits, Jennings is an information literacy educator and an armed forces veteran.
